Calvin Huckabee

AMFT, APCC

Calvin medically separated from the Navy in 2020 after ten years of service. His career began as a welder and metal worker with the Seabees before attending NDSTC and going on to be a Navy Diver with the UCTs. His last tour was mentoring NSW/NSO candidates with the Navy Warrior Challenge program.

After leaving the service, Calvin earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and a Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology at William Jessup University, completing requirements for dual-licensure as both an AMFT and APCC. He currently works at BCR Group in Northern California, specializing in SOF veterans, first-responders, high-performing men, and couples that include any of the first three.

Calvin’s approach to psychotherapy is direct and solution-focused, centered on helping clients gain insight into themselves and build lives filled with purpose and connection. He integrates tenets of existential therapy, moral foundations theory, and trait theory of personality. He believes therapy should be useful—not just insightful, but actionable.
