Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Megan Tomlinson is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma, moral injury, suicidality, and sleep-related concerns.
Prior to opening her private practice, Dr. Tomlinson served as a staff psychologist at the U.S. Air Force Academy and the Department of Veterans Affairs in Colorado Springs. She completed her doctoral internship at the Durham VA Medical Center, receiving advanced training in combat-related PTSD, military sexual trauma, and primary care mental health integration. As the spouse of an Army Green Beret, she brings both professional experience and a personal understanding of the unique challenges facing Special Operations personnel and their families.
Dr. Tomlinson’s approach is grounded in evidence-based care that considers each individual’s experiences, values, and goals. She draws from established treatments, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring treatment to the needs of each client. Her clinical work is further informed by a background in research on trauma, moral injury, sleep, and suicide risk, including an award-winning doctoral dissertation and previous work at Stanford University’s Suicide Prevention Research Laboratory.
