Nicole Heath
Professional Counselor, LPC
Nicole is a certified trauma therapist dedicated to supporting active-duty service members, veterans, military spouses, first responders, and trauma survivors navigating PTS, moral injury, depression, and anxiety. Her goal is to help clients heal from the past, rediscover hope, and build meaningful, resilient lives.
Her understanding of military culture is informed by her clinical experience as a combat trauma therapist, as well as her personal connection to military service through her role as the spouse of a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran and her family’s longstanding history of military service. These professional and personal experiences have provided her with a comprehensive appreciation of the unique demands of military life, including deployments, reintegration, operational stress, military to civilian transition and the sacrifices experienced by service members and their families. She recognizes that the effects of military service extend beyond the individual, influencing spouses, children, and the broader family system. This integrated perspective informs her clinical practice and enhances her ability to provide culturally responsive, evidence-informed, trauma-focused care to service members, veterans, and military-connected families while recognizing the unique challenges, strengths, and resilience inherent within the military community.
Nicole earned her counseling degree from Grand Canyon University and has extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient military-focused programs, as well as medical and healthcare settings. She is certified in Prolonged Exposure Therapy through the Strong Star Training Initiative and the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Psychiatry program and remains committed to using evidence-based practices to support healing from trauma, depression, and anxiety. She is dedicated to supporting the military community and collaborates with several nonprofit organizations helping AD, veterans, first responders, and their spouses access mental health services and resources.
