About Me
Kasey is a four year veteran of 2nd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Where he participated in three combat deployments to Afghanistan. He is a recipient of the Purple Hart and Joint Service Commendation Medal. Kasey is also a former private military contractor of four years where he participated in seven more trips to Afghanistan.
Kasey received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Nevada State College and is currently a second year student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling for Military and Veterans Masters program at William & Mary.
Kasey has also been working for an organization called Heroic Hearts Project since 2020, who helps connect veterans with psychedelic plant medicine retreats in South America as well as domestically. There, Kasey has coached and mentored over one hundred veterans through the psychedelic space in a preparatory and post-retreat integration setting.
Kasey’s own participation in these retreats and his own healing journey is what has motivated him to separate from the gun slinger world and insert himself into academia in order to give back to the veteran community and share what he has learned.
Kasey has been married for two years. He enjoys being a guitarist, fitness, philosophy, his three dogs and is an avid motocross rider.
