About Me
M.C. is a retired 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment flight engineer and instructor. During a decade of JSOC service, he deployed 11 times to multiple theaters of war from 2013 to 2023. After surviving a catastrophic helicopter crash in 2016, he became a vocal proponent for applied sports psychology and a lifetime student of Stoic philosophy.
Some of M.C.’s military education and training includes: Enlisted Combat Skills (Green Platoon); Modern Army Combatives Program; Special Operations Aviation Nonrated Crewmember course; Helicopter Overwater Survival Training (Dunker); SERE Level C; Basic Leader Course; Special Operations Safety Officer course; SERE 215; Advanced Leader Course; Special Operations Aviation Flight Engineer Instructor course; Master Resilience Trainer course (MRT); and Special Operations Command Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
Art and creative expression have proved to be life-affirming for M.C. He freelances as a ghostwriter and producer for emerging musical artists in addition to writing and performing original music with his own band. He is currently writing a memoir that focuses on his combat experiences, physical and mental trauma, and the struggle to integrate those into his identity after service.
