About Me
Nate served in 1st Ranger Battalion from 2006-2010, completing two Iraq deployments and one Afghanistan deployment prior to separating from the Army in 2010. He completed his undergrad at Umass Boston as a History major and earned two separate master’s degrees from the University of Connecticut, Sport Management 2014 and Educational Psychology 2015. Nate is currently completing a Masters of Education in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Springfield college, as well as working to earn his Certified Mental Performance Consultant certification.
Since completing graduate school Nate has worked in a variety of roles in the veteran sector, focusing on job development and placement for both disabled and homeless veterans. Recently he has worked as an Addiction Therapist at Swift River Addiction Campuses in Massachusetts. In 2024 he was recognized as Swift River Therapist of the Year while also delivering the the veteran focused Y6R curriculum and serving as the primary Veteran/First Responder Therapist. Nate is currently serving clients in CT as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate.
In August of 2025, Nate transitioned to the Loomis Chaffee School as the Associate Director of Counseling, with a particular area of focus in working with student-athletes and reaching performance based goals while mitigating performance anxiety. Nate lives in Connecticut with his three best friends-his wife Courtney and kids Cole and Axton. His days are spent moving from one competition to another be it driveway or pool basketball, coaching flag football, as a family working to complete a race in each of Connecticut’s 169 towns, or Jeopardy and Wordle with the family.
