Amanda Dobler, LMHC, LMFT

Amanda Dobler is a Nationally Certified Counselor and has over 10 years of clinical experience working with the military community both in intensive outpatient facilities and in private practice. Amanda is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Florida. She has a Master of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from the College of Wooster. As a Military Widow and a Gold Star Spouse, her personal journey through grief and loss has given her dedication to meeting those in pain and helping them move towards hope. Amanda specializes in working with service members, spouses, veterans and their families through the transitions of the military, relationship stress, trauma and loss. Amanda is trained and uses a variety of trauma modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Amanda also has received advanced training from the Gottman Institute for couple's counseling and uses a background of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help meet her client’s needs. Amanda brings an understanding for the challenges of military life, military transitions, trauma experiences, parenting stressors and relationship stressors. She wholeheartedly believes that everyone deserves a chance to slow down, connect, and heal. Therapy provides the space to fully show up, break down, and rebuild yourself here. Amanda understands that the process may be tough, but recognizing one's strength and gaining insight will help change how you engage with yourself & others, and how you move through the world.
