Ann Inouye, Psy.D.

Ann Inouye, Psy.D. is a Yale and Brown-trained clinical psychologist who completed her internship at Strong Star, a world-renowned program focused on treating post-traumatic stress and related mood and stress conditions in service members.

Dr. Inouye is dedicated to creating a confidential, open, and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment or stigma. She intimately understands that seeking care while in uniform may come with fears of potential professional repercussions. With this sensitivity in mind, she prioritizes maintaining strict confidence and mutual trust to ensure an environment of healing. She recognizes that SOF operators endure intense experiences and often suffer in silence. Dr. Inouye is dedicated to normalizing these experiences and reactions, fostering an environment of growth and value-driven change. She understands that change is challenging and that operators are up for a challenge.

Dr. Inouye employs a holistic approach and is trained in leading evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD (couples), Nightmare Rescripting, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Dr. Inouye also has extensive training in multiple psychedelic-assisted therapies. She integrates this advanced understanding into her broader therapeutic approach, providing leading-edge solutions for addressing the entire spectrum of suffering that operators endure.

In her spare time, Dr. Inouye enjoys spending time with her husband, an Army psychiatrist, and their children.
