Jeremy Nikel, LCSW, SAP

Jeremy Nikel is from Tulsa, OK.  He graduated from the University of Oklahoma and served on active duty as a Naval Aviator, deploying with HSL-42 as an Aircraft Commander and Mission Commander and with VT-28 as a Naval Flight Instructor. After the Navy, Jeremy returned to the University of Oklahoma to obtain his Master of Social Work degree and has worked as a mental health therapist at the Department of Veterans Affairs since 2010. Jeremy has worked in the Mental Health, Substance Use, and Homeless programs, and currently works in the Intensive Community Mental Health Recovery program, where he provides client-centered, trauma-informed psychotherapy. He is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, internal Family Systems, and is a Motivational Interviewing and Motivational Enhancement Therapy Consultant and Trainer. Jeremy has worked with numerous SOF veterans in both the VA and private practice and is also trained by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies and Polaris Insight to offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy in private practice.
