Jessica Swaney, LCSW

Jessica earned her Master's in Social Work with a specialization in Military Social Work from the University of Southern California. Based in San Diego for three years, she worked on the Navy base with military children and families. Also, she spent time developing a rich background in ABA therapy for special needs children and talk therapy for foster care children. Transitioning to work at a residential facility, she supported women dealing with substance abuse and homelessness. Then found herself going back to working with school age children in a community behavioral health program. Currently, she provides services to homeless veterans at the Department of Veteran Affairs and recently opened a private practice, Nurturing Minds LCSW Corporation.

With years of experience and training in various therapeutic modalities, she is committed to providing evidence-based interventions that are tailored to the unique needs and circumstances of each individual client. She received training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) working with children and presently working on obtaining her Perinatal Mental Health Certificate (PMH-C).

Personally immersed in the military community, Jessica, alongside her husband, navigated his transition from Special Operations Forces in the Navy while expecting their first child, providing her with a profound understanding of the challenges faced by SOF veterans and their families. Eager to apply her expertise, she is enthusiastic about supporting Special Operations Forces in their therapeutic journey.
