Michelle Weed, LPC
Michelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor (VA), trained in EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, Substance Use Recovery, and Moral Injury Intervention. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), currently completing her Ph.D. at William and Mary with a specialization in Post Traumatic Stress and Moral Injury. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling, Clinical Rehabilitation Mental Health Counseling.
Michelle is the clinical director at Tailwinds Ranch in Williamsburg, VA. Therapy at Tailwinds is tailored to the individual needs. We offer moral injury and PTS intensives, weekly/biweekly sessions, telehealth, and/or "tune-ups" when prior clients have stressors that affect functioning. We also offer equine assisted therapy to complement trauma therapy. Michelle has worked in equine assisted services for 24 years and is active with PATH Intl as faculty for the Equine Services for Heroes Certificate course.
