Traci Kaiser, LCSW, BCD

Owner of Tri-Oaks Behavioral Health, PLLC. (Currently providing care in Texas with future availability for individuals in North Carolina and Alaska)

Hello! I am a retired Special Operations therapist, and the last seven years of my career have been serving and working in Army and Joint Special Operations. I am also the proud wife to my own Green Beret (soon to be retired!). I understand the mindset and dedication it takes to work in Special Operations, and the challenges it presents to both the Service Member and Families. My patients can expect empathy and caring, but also frank, honest discussions that promote change. With a population that shoots straight and works well in gray areas, sometimes you must be creative with your approach, and I embrace that wholeheartedly. I have a good history with clients seeking out initial care as well as those who have been unsuccessful with other therapists.

I specialize in Trauma-focused work, mood disorders, family (parenting and marital) issues, stressful life changes, and all things Anxiety. In addition to the emotional and mental strain it takes to perform at SOF’s high level, I also understand the physical toll that years of pain, TBI’s, poor sleep, and stress can have on a person. I use a holistic approach, and I am trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused therapy. I work hard to create a confidential, open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment or stigma.

I truly believe that the people who suffer the most suffer in silence, yet they are the least likely to ask for help. Everyone deserves the chance to work on themselves without fear of judgement or retaliation. I work hard to normalize people's thoughts, feelings, and reactions to stress while also encouraging growth. Change is hard, but it is worth it.

I do not accept insurance, as I believe care should be authentic and person-centered without coding or billing guidelines dictating care. That means no insurance claims, denials, or justifications, but with documentation that is within Army/DoD/VA standards. My sessions are all remote/telehealth to provide a flexible schedule that meets the Operator’s needs.
